Woman found hanging in Adoor

The police have launched a probe into the death of 31-year-old-woman, who was found hanging at her residence in Adoor on Monday night. The deceased was identified as Shehana, a resident of Shinas Manzil at Kottamukal in Adoor. She is survived by a child.

Police have taken into custody a person who was present in the house at the time of the incident. Police said she had been living separately from her husband.

The man, a native of Ezhamkulam, is being questioned in connection with the incident. Preliminary investigations confirmed the presence of blood stains on the body. The body has been shifted to a hospital for a postmortem examination and will be handed over to relatives after the autopsy.
