YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) general secretary N. Lakshmi Parvathi has alleged that the law and order situation in Andhra Pradesh has deteriorated under the coalition government, claiming that people across all sections are facing increasing hardship.

Addressing the media at the party’s central office in Tadepalli on Thursday (July 9, 2026), she accused the TDP-led NDA government of misusing the police machinery to target political opponents.

She alleged that those questioning the government were being falsely implicated in criminal cases, while ruling party leaders and workers escaped action despite serious allegations against them.

Ms. Parvathi claimed the police had become a political tool to suppress dissent, alleging that fabricated evidence was being used to book critics under serious charges and send them to judicial remand.

Referring to the recent incident in Anantapur, as well as the cases of Gade Sai Krishna, Kranti Kumar, Gangamma, Tiruputamma and Kalavati, she said these reflected the declining law and order situation in the State.

She also accused the government of pursuing privatisation for vested interests, and claimed the Kadapa Steel Plant was conceived during the YSRCP regime.

Launching a political attack on Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, she alleged that he frequently shifted political alliances. Ms. Parvathi criticised Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan over his recent remarks and his alliance with the Telugu Desam Party.
