Andhra Pradesh Home Minister V. Anitha has urged students to stay away from ganja and drugs.
The Home Minister took part in a Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan programme organised by the Elite Anti-Narcotics Group for Law Enforcement (EAGLE), in association with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and other departments, on Friday (June 26, 2026), marking the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
She also took part in a signature campaign in Vijayawada and explained the legal consequences of consuming or peddling drugs.
Later, Ms. Anitha took part in a programme at the EAGLE office and presented ‘EAGLE Excellence Awards’ to 56 officers who performed well in the prevention of drug and ganja use.

The Home Minister also launched a new app to check drugs and alert EAGLE officials.
Chairman of the 20-Point Programme Lanka Dinakar, EAGLE head and IGP Ake Ravi Krishna, Collector G. Lakshmisha, SPs K.M. Maheswara Raju, K. Nagesh Babu and G. Swaroopa Rani, Women Development and Child Welfare Principal Secretary A. Surya Kumari and other officers took part.
