Bhuvanagiri MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy alleged that BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao became accustomed to the film industry in ten years of power, and continues to speak the language of cinema even in politics, adding that the lives of ordinary people appeared to be viewed “like a movie” by the former minister.

In response to KTR’s comments terming Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s rule as an utter-flop film, Mr. Kian Kumar Reddy said the decade-long rule of the BRS was not a “super hit.” Telangana, which began as a surplus State, had been turned into a debt-ridden state during the BRS regime. “Their ten-year rule was not a blockbuster but a flop show,” he said.

Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy said BRS leaders ,Mr. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao were making irresponsible remarks against the Chief Minister and attempting to undermine the State government’s development agenda unable to accept the vision and initiatives being pursued by Mr. Revanth Reddy.

The Congress MP alleged that Mr. Rama Rao and Mr. Harish Rao were making personal attacks on the Chief Minister instead of engaging in constructive political debate.

Defending the Congress government’s performance, the MP accused the previous BRS administration of weakening government schools and said the present government was taking measures to strengthen the education system.

On agriculture, he said the State government was creating awareness among farmers about crop diversification based on prevailing market conditions.

He also questioned Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy over the Centre’s procurement policies, asking why Telangana’s paddy was not being fully purchased despite record production levels.

The MP also defended the State government’s efforts to take forward the Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-II project, and asked BRS to question the BJP for not cooperating for the Metro expansion project.

On the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency (HYDRAA), he alleged that the BRS was trying to provoke people against the agency. He argued that HYDRAA had emerged as a key institution in Hyderabad’s urban development and was playing an important role in preventing encroachments on drains and water bodies, thereby reducing the risk of urban flooding.

Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy also questioned why KTR had remained silent on allegations of “vote theft” and “seat theft” levelled against the BJP by Congress leaders at the national level.
