The Jayantian Extension Service (JES) of Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, in association with the National Service Scheme (NSS), Central Service Scheme (CSS), and the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA)–Bengaluru East City Corporation, organised a tree plantation programme on the occasion of World Environment Day 2026 on June 5.

The programme was held under the ‘Plant4Mother’ and ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam (EPMKN)’ campaigns and conducted at Sri Siddhartha Sanivasa High School in Hennur.

The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness, encourage afforestation, and inspire citizens to dedicate a tree to their mothers as a symbol of gratitude and commitment to nature.

Faculty members, NSS and CSS volunteers, JES coordinators, GBA staff, and others were present.
