Heat conditions intensify in Telangana, Adilabad records highest temperature of 44.5℃ on May 15

Temperatures continued to rise across Telangana, with a total of six districts recording maximum temperatures of 44℃ or above on Friday (May 15, 2026), according to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS).

Bhoraj in Adilabad district emerged as the hottest location in the State, recording a maximum temperature of 44.5℃. This was followed by 44.3℃ in Asifabad (Kumaram Bheem Asifabad), Bheemgal (Nizamabad); 44.1℃ in Mutharam (Peddapalli) and 44℃ in Mallapur (Jagtial) and Kuntala (Nirmal).

The districts which recorded temperatures between 43℃ and 44℃ are 43.9℃ in Enkuru (Khammam), Kasipet (Mancherial) and Kattangoor (Nalgonda); 43.5℃ in Veenavanka (Karimnagar); 43.3℃ in Kamalapur (Hanumakonda); 43.2℃ in Maddur (Siddipet); 43.1℃ in Penpahad (Suryapet) and 43℃ in Regonda (Jayshankar Bhupalpally).

The districts which recorded temperatures between 42℃ and 43℃ are 42.9℃ in Lingal (Nagarkurnool); 42.7℃ in Julurpad (Bhadradri Kothagudem), Vemulawada (Rajanna Sircilla) and Maheshwaram (Rangareddy); 42.5℃ in Jadcherla (Mahabubnagar), Uppal (Medchal Malkajgiri), Peddamandadi (Wanaparthy) and Choutuppal (Yadadri Bhuvangiri); 42.4℃ in Nampally (Hyderabad) and Gandhari (Kamareddy); 42.3℃ in Ghattu (Jogulamba Gadwal); 42.2℃ in Mallampally (Mulugu); 42.1℃ in Jangaon (Jangaon) and 42℃ in Garla (Mahabubabad).

The districts which recorded temperatures below 42℃ are 41.8℃ in Duggondi (Warangal); 41.5℃ in Narsingi (Medak); 41.1℃ in Damaragidda (Narayanpet); 41℃ in Gummadidala (Sangareddy) and 40.7℃ in Kulkacherla (Vikarabad).
