Cyberabad SHE Teams conducted 99 decoy operations across the commissionerate limits between May 2 and May 7 and held 32 individuals for indulging in indecent behaviour at public places.

According to the weekly report released by the Women and Child Safety Wing of the Cyberabad police, petty cases were registered in 42 instances, while the remaining offenders were counselled. The SHE Teams also received 17 complaints from women through various channels during the period.

The Cyberabad Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) rescued three victims and arrested six accused persons in three cases registered under the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA). In separate cases registered under the Juvenile Justice Act, officials rescued four boys and arrested four accused persons.

Police said efforts were also made to resolve domestic disputes, with 33 families counselled through Family Counselling Centres and Centres for Domestic and Empowerment of Women (CDEW).

As part of awareness and preventive initiatives, the AHTU and SHE Teams organised awareness programmes at various locations across Cyberabad. Around 1,685 people participated in the sessions, where officials spoke about human trafficking, child trafficking, eve teasing, cyber bullying, cyber frauds, stalking, social media harassment, child marriages, child rights, child labour and begging.

Officials also created awareness about emergency helplines, including Women Helpline 181, Child Helpline 1098, Dial 100 and Cybercrime Helpline 1930.

Meanwhile, the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) Women’s Safety Forum, in collaboration with Bank of America at Madhapur, conducted a women’s safety awareness session for employees.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Women and Child Safety Wing, K. Srujana, led the interactive session and spoke about women’s safety, emergency preparedness, preventive measures and the importance of reporting incidents promptly.

More than 300 employees participated in the programme, including around 100 attendees in person and over 200 participants virtually. Police said the session focused on promoting practical safety awareness and encouraging collective responsibility in creating safer workplaces.
