“Career counselling is not just providing information, but inspiring confidence and reducing anxiety about the selection of courses,” said Shivakumaraiah, joint secretary, Sree Siddaganga Education Society, Tumakuru.
Speaking during the 24th edition of The Hindu EducationPlus Career Counselling Fair 2026, which was held at Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT), Tumakuru on Sunday, he said, “As per a survey, 93% of graduates are aware of just seven career options. However, more than 250 career options are available. Career counselling is therefore important to everyone facing challenges in finding their career path.”
