“Welcome to nation-building NDA, goodbye to INDI Alliance”: Kiren Rijiju on AAP MPs joining BJP

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju on Monday (April 27, 2026) welcomed seven Aam Aadmi Party MPs into the Bharatiya Janata Party, after Rajya Sabha Chairman CP Radhakrishnan approved their merger.

Welcoming the MPs into what he described as the “nation-building” fold under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mr. Rijiju also took a swipe at the Opposition INDIA bloc, calling it the “Tukde-Tukde INDI Alliance.”
