Three Assembly segments — Palacode in Dharmapuri district, Veerapandi in Salem district, and Kulithalai in Karur district — have remained perennial toppers, consistently featuring in the top five in terms of voter turnout in every Assembly election held since the delimitation of Tamil Nadu’s constituencies in 2008.

The State’s overall voter turnout has fluctuated over the years, from 78.29% in 2011 to 74.84% in 2016 and 73.51% in 2021 (held amid the COVID-19 pandemic), before surging to 85.15% in 2026 after the Special Intensive Revision of the electoral roll.
