Tamil Maanila Congress (Moopanar) president G. K. Vasan on Sunday said a candidate need not be popular, but in the electoral fray, people should think and vote whether the candidate would listen to their grievances, understand, and resolve them.

Canvassing votes for PMK treasurer M. Thilagabama, who is the NDA’s nominee for the Perambur Assembly segment, Mr. Vasan said, “With the support of both the Union government and the next government led by AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K.
