The government will take measures to promote the centuries-old craft of Kondapalli toys and festivals will be organised annually to support the artisans, said Minister for Tourism and Culture Kandula Durgesh on Monday.
Attending as chief guest on the concluding day of the three-day Kondapalli Toys Festival at Kondapalli in NTR district on April 20 (Monday), the Minister said: “Tourism festivals, including ‘AVAKAI festival’, ‘Vijayawada Utsav’, ‘Visakha-Anakapalli Utsav’, and ‘Gandikota Utsav’ are being organised to ensure that the State remains vibrant with tourism activities throughout the year.” Later, he said that a special tourism circuit would be established connecting tourist destinations around Kondapalli.
