
The ED also identified several immovable properties in the form of land and buildings, “which appear to have been obtained through criminal activities”.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued summonses to two persons for recording their statements in connection with a case accusing one Biswajit Podder alias Sona Pappu and his associates of rioting, attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy, and possession of illegal weapon in West Bengal, according to agency officials.
“Summonses have been issued to Howrah Joint Commissioner Gaurav Lal and ‘land mafia’ Joy Kamdar. Both of them have been called to the ED office in Kolkata on April 13 for questioning…In this case, the role of several TMC (Trinamool Congress) leaders is also coming to light, and they are under the scanner of the investigation,” an agency official said.
