As part of efforts to preserve the rich heritage of the Andhra land, a series of special programmes will be organised on April 18 to mark World Heritage Day, announced NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha on Friday.

Addressing a press conference, the Collector said the programmes are being organised jointly by the State Tourism Department, NTR District administration and the District Tourism Authority. The district is home to several iconic heritage sites, including the Kanaka Durga Temple, Mogalarajapuram Caves, Akkanna Madanna Caves, Gandhi Hill, and Kondapalli Fort, he pointed out, emphasising the need to preserve these invaluable cultural assets and pass them on to future generations.
