The National Medical Commission (NMC) has for the first time launched an online feedback system for undergraduate medical students to anonymously register complaints or evaluate their colleges’ infrastructure and faculty.

In an order, the NMC said it has made live an online ‘Student Feedback Form’, seeking feedback and inputs from undergraduate medical students of medical colleges and institutions under its purview.

“This feedback aims to gather valuable anonymous feedback on various aspects of your medical college and medical education experience. The form covers aspects such as quality of teaching and lecture, faculty availability and adequacy, clinical training, and patient exposure, lab dissection halls and practical training community medicine and rural training, campus culture/student welfare etc.”

The Commission said the responses would remain anonymous and confidential.

“The feedback is being collected solely for internal academic review and quality improvement purposes.”

The online form can be accessed through the NMC website.

Communication from the NMC has also been sent to Additional Chief Secretaries and Principal Secretaries of medical education departments of all States and Union Territories, as well as directors, deans and principals of all medical colleges. The official notice was issued on Thursday (March 26, 2026).
