A yellow weather was issued for 11 Telangana districts for Saturday

The maximum temperature in Telangana crossed 40°C, again, a few days after a marginal drop in the mercury levels. The highest of 40.4°C was recorded in Aloor of Nizamabad, followed by 40.3°C in Karakagudem in Bhadradri Kothagudem and Khanapur of Nirmal and 40.2°C in Bela of Adilabad and Gudipaly, Nalgonda, according to Telangana Development Planning Society’s data recorded from 8.30 a.m. of Thursday (March 27, 2026) to Friday morning.  

In Hyderabad, the highest temperature was 38.5°C; 39.0°C in Medchal Malkajgiri and 38.9°C in Rangareddy districts. 

Yellow alert till March 31

Temperatures may be normal over the coming few days and yellow weather alert was issued to various districts until Tuesday (March 31, 2026).

On Saturday, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds were forecast as very likely at isolated places in Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Vikarabad and Sangareddy districts.

Hyderabad weather forecast

Hyderabad was forecast to receive light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds towards evening or night over the next 48 hours, according to India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad Centre’s bulletin issued on Friday afternoon. 

“The maximum temperatures are likely to be around normal during next two days, thereafter gradual rise by 2 to 3°C during next 4 days,” as per the bulletin.
