The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) need not issue a fresh election manifesto and can instead present its unfulfilled 2021 promises as its new manifesto, said Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) leader Anbumani Ramadoss on Thursday (March 26, 2026).

In a statement, he claimed that 439 of the 505 promises made ahead of the 2021 Assembly elections remain unfulfilled, accusing the ruling party of misleading the public with claims of near-total implementation. He said only 66 promises — about 13% — had been fully delivered.

Referring to his report “Vidiyal Engae?”, released on August 26, 2025, Dr. Anbumani said several key assurances remain pending. He also criticised Chief Minister M. K. Stalin and his Cabinet colleagues for giving varying figures on fulfilment, ranging from 85% to 100%.

He cited unimplemented promises such as a ₹100 LPG subsidy, diesel price reduction, student loan waiver, job creation targets, lower electricity tariffs, and regularisation of temporary government staff.
