Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday (March 21) directed that development works at the Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple in Bhadrachalam be undertaken strictly in accordance with Agama Shastra, without disturbing the temple’s natural surroundings fixing March 31, 2027 target for Phase-I temple development.
Reviewing the proposed development plans, the Chief Minister suggested that the works be executed in three phases to ensure minimal inconvenience to devotees. He instructed officials to identify components that could be completed before the next Godavari Pushkaram by preparing a three-phase plan along with detailed estimates. He also emphasised the need to develop ghats near the temple in line with Pushkaram requirements. Revanth Reddy examined various design proposals prepared in accordance with the land acquired so far for the project.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Konda Surekha, Tummala Nageswara Rao and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, MPs Vem Narender Reddy and P. Balaram Naik, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao and other senior officials attended the review meeting.
