Aqua Titan Vessel, carrying Russian Urals, charted by Mangalore Refineries and Petrochemicals, is expected to reach the New Mangalore Port on Saturday (March 21, 2026), said Rajesh Kumar Sinha, the Special Secretary of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.
Currently, 47% of the LPG to India is imported from Qatar. Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, in a briefing, said that there is bound to be an impact on the supply of LPG, adding that “we have diversified our sources and are picking cargoes from elsewhere.”

“Two container vessels are operating in the Strait of Hormuz,” Ms. Sharma said. She also said that India has not yet increased petrol and diesel prices.

“At present, two container vessels, namely, CMA CGM Vitoria and SSL Godavari, are operating in the Eastern part of the Strait of Hormuz,” said Mr. Sinha adding that they are headed to Oman and the UAE, respectively.
