Linking KTR to drug episode of Rohith Reddy is illogical: Dasoju Sravan

BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan condemned what he termed as the false propaganda being carried out by the Congress government against BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao in the Rohith Reddy drug case.

He demanded a comprehensive and transparent investigation into the alleged drugs incident at the farmhouse of former MLA Rohith Reddy, and said whoever is found involved in the incident must face strict action under the law.

Mr. Sravan said that reports indicate several individuals from different political parties, including TDP MP Mahesh Yadav, were present at the gathering held at the farmhouse. Linking Mr. Rama Rao to the farmhouse incident, he remarked, was as illogical as connecting unrelated issues.

He strongly criticised Congress social media platforms for deliberately attempting to malign Mr. Rama Rao by linking him to the incident without evidence. He alleged that Congress leaders were targeting Mr. Rama Rao because he has been consistently exposing the failures of the State government.

He stated that during the tenure of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, the government had taken strong action against the drug menace. He added that BRS is ready to support the current government if it sincerely works toward curbing drugs.
