YSR Congress president and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy reiterated that the party always stood for values and credibility, which was evident from its tremendous following, and it would continue to be so.

Addressing YSRCP leaders on the occasion of the party’s Formation Day celebrations at its central office in Tadepalli in Guntur district on Thursday (March 12, 2026), Mr. Jagan said it (YSRCP) started off with a single person 15 years ago and had since become a force to reckon with and even gained a nationwide identity.

He said braving the conspiracies and deceptive politics of the Congress which was in power in the State and Centre and its ganging up with the Telugu Desam Party, YSRCP was formed on March 12, 2011. Since then the party has stood on its own and fought every battle on its own.

Mr. Jagan said the birth of YSRCP gave a new direction to State politics and it had been committed to values.

Despite hurdles by YSRCP, development will not stop, asserts HRD Minister Lokesh

“The YSRCP does not belong to Jagan. It belongs to the crores of cadres and sympathisers”, he stated, and thanked the people for supporting it over the last decade and a half. MLCs Lella Appi Reddy and Varudu Kalyani were among those present.
