A 38-year-old woman died after a KSRTC bus rammed into her scooter at Venjaramoodu on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Ganga, a native of Koliyakode.

According to the police, Ganga was accompanied by her son at the time of the accident. They were heading from Pothencode towards Venjaramoodu when the bus hit the scooter.

The impact of the collision pushed the scooter forward into a car travelling ahead. As a result, the scooter got wedged between the bus and the car.

Ganga sustained critical injuries in the accident and died on the spot. Her son escaped with minor injuries and was admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The Venjaramoodu police have registered a case.
