Nearly two lakh vehicles in 15 minutes as school runs strain Cyberabad traffic beyond IT rush

A survey by Cyberabad Police has revealed that the daily school run is a parallel contributor to congestion creating a new peak, choking roads, and straining families.

Across the commissionerate, which has nearly 1,500 schools and about 5.8 lakh enrolled students, the simple act of dropping and picking up children has emerged as a major contributor to congestion. A door-to-door survey conducted at 500 key schools covering roughly 4 lakh students has mapped the scale of the problem.
