As many as 56 candidates from Tamil Nadu who received coaching under Naan Mudhalvan Scheme have cleared the civil services examination 2025 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.

All India Civil Services Coaching Centre, the institute of the State government, has registered an increase in results owing to Naan Mudhalvan Scheme, as the percentage of successful candidates from Tamil Nadu has increased from 3% to 6%, said T. Sankara Saravanan, Additional; Director (Competitive Exams), Government of Tamil Nadu.

“Rajeshwari Suve M. has secured the second rank, while A.R. Rajah Mohaideen has secured the seventh rank. Another candidate Srithi R. has secured the 18th rank. Of the 56 successful candidates enrolled under the Naan Mudhalvan Scheme of the State government, 39 candidates received residential coaching and financial assistance. This year, two candidates from Tamil Nadu are in the top 10 ranks,” said Mr. Sankara Saravanan.

Ms. Suve, who secured the All India second rank, said the Naan Mudhalvan Scheme and the support from private IAS academies in Chennai contributed to the success. She has cleared the civil services examination with Sociology as an optional subject. She is currently a trainee Deputy Collector in Dindigul after clearing the TNPSC examination in 2024.

Kiruthika M., daughter of a Chennai Corporation School teacher, has secured 184th rank. “I started preparation after my marriage. I received coaching under Naan Mudhalvan Scheme, and at former Chennai Mayor Saidai Duraisamy’s Manidhaneyam IAS academy and Aram IAS Academy. My Mother S. Chandra of GCC Maduvinkarai School, my husband P. Chithambaram, who is an assistant engineer at TNHB and my father G. Murugaiyan motivated me after my marriage in 2022 to start preparation for the civil services. My optional subject is Public Administration,” said Ms. Kiruthika.

According to a press release from Shankar IAS Academy, 19 candidates in the top 100 ranks received coaching from the academy. “As many as 202 candidates who received coaching at the academy have cleared the examination,” said the press release.

According to a press release from Manidhaneyam IAS Academy, 40 candidates who received scholarship and free coaching from the academy have cleared the examination.
