The Hyderabad Traffic Police has announced a series of road closures and traffic diversions to facilitate the construction of an elevated corridor between Paradise Junction and Dairy Farm Road on NH 44. The restrictions will be in force from October 30 and expected for about nine months.

According to the advisory issued by Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) D. Joel Davis, the stretch between Rajiv Gandhi Statue junction and Balamrai will remain closed in both directions throughout the construction period. Commuters have also been advised to avoid the Balamrai-CTO stretch, where traffic congestion is anticipated due to ongoing works.

Traffic from Balanagar heading towards Panjagutta or Tank Bund has been advised to take the Tadbund – Mastan Café – Diamond Point – Mudfort – NCC – JBS route. Similarly, vehicles from Suchitra heading in the same direction may use Safe Express – Bapuji Nagar – Centre Point – Diamond Point – Mudfort – NCC – JBS – SBI as an alternative route.

Motorists travelling from Tank Bund, Ranigunj, Panjagutta, Rasoolpura, or Plaza towards Tadbund via CTO Junction will be diverted at Rajiv Gandhi Statue junction towards Anna Nagar – Balamrai – Tadbund. Residents of Anna Nagar travelling towards Panjagutta or Tank Bund have been requested to use the bylanes (Meeting Point bylane, Hockey Ground bylane, and law and order police station bylane) or proceed via Balamrai to reach their destinations.

Traffic Police have urged commuters to follow real-time updates on their official social media pages and contact the traffic helpline at 9010203626 in case of emergencies.
