Chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu reviews the progress of the Family Benefit Management System (FBMS) during a meeting with officials at his Assembly chamber in Amaravati on Wednesday.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday (March 4) reviewed the progress of the Family Benefit Management System (FBMS) at his Assembly chamber, directing officials to expedite the creation of a comprehensive family database covering 26 key attributes for every household in the State.

He instructed officials to design the database with details such as Family ID, Aadhaar number, Rice Card ID, educational qualifications, occupation, mobile number, address, agricultural land holdings and urban and rural property particulars. The initiative aims to create a unified and verified data backbone to streamline welfare delivery and governance.

Mr. Chandrababu Naidu further directed that data sourced from multiple departments and agencies be integrated into the system. These include A.P. State Disaster Response and Fire Services Department (SGSDW reference as per State data systems), DISCOMs, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department (MAUD), Webland, Vahan, HRMS, CBDT-linked records, Panchayati Raj and Markfed.

Officials informed the Chief Minister that nearly 82% of the required data has already been consolidated and expressed confidence that 90% of the database would be ready by April 30.

Emphasising accuracy and efficiency, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu said integrating databases across all government departments would significantly enhance data reliability and eliminate duplication. He underscored the government’s goal to issue a Family Card to every household in the State and asked officials to work in mission mode to achieve the target.

The FBMS is envisioned as a centralised digital platform to ensure transparent, targeted and seamless delivery of welfare benefits to eligible families across Andhra Pradesh.
