Marathons held in Shivamogga and Hassan for drug-free Karnataka

The Shivamogga police conducted a marathon on March 1 to promote fitness and spread awareness against the consumption of drugs.

Shivamogga Superintendent of Police B. Nikhil flagged off the marathon at DAR Grounds. Besides the police staff, many residents of the city and representatives of various organisations ran as part of the event. They followed the route covering KSRTC bus stand, A.A. Circle, Nehru Road, Jail Circle and Circuit House Circle.

In Hassan, elected representatives, including Lok Sabha member Shreyas M. Patel, Swaroop Prakash, MLA, joined the police staff in the marathon. Superintendent of Police Shubhanwita, Additional Superintendent of Police Thammaiah and many students took part in the event.
