In a shocking incident, a hotel worker reportedly slit the throat of a customer when the latter had an argument with the former over the packing of a food order.

According to sources, the customer, Abdul Kareemulla, visited a hotel located near YSR Colony and ordered to pack a ‘dosa with upma’ on Saturday night. However, after reaching home, Kareemulla found that only dosa was packed. He then went to the hotel and argued with the hotel owner and workers for not packing what he had ordered. He kept the parcel on the counter, which a worker grabbed and threw at his face.

When Kareemulla argued with the owner and the workers for their rash behaviour, they thrashed him. In the melee, one of the worker cut his throat with a knife.

Locals rushed him to a Government General Hospital, where he was pronounced out of danger. Speaking to The Hindu on Monday, Two Town Circle Inspector S. Chinna Kondala Rao said that a case was registered against the hotel worker who attacked the customer. The accused was arrested and would be produced in the court, the CI said.
