On the final day of his 2-day visit to Israel on Thursday (February 26, 2026), Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to hold delegation level talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and exchange MoUs with the country. Later, he will be engaging with prominent members of the Indian-Jewish Community. 

PM Modi in Israel Day 1 highlights: India backs Gaza peace plan, declares ‘terrorism anywhere threatens peace everywhere’

Mr. Modi will begin the day by visiting the Yad Vashem, Israel’s official memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. After the visit, the Prime Minister will be meeting Israeli President Isaac Herzog to discuss bilateral ties.

Addressing the Knesset on Wednesday (February 25, 2026), PM Modi condemned the October 7 Hamas attack as a “barbaric terrorist attack”, and said “we feel your pain, we share your grief”. “India stands with Israel firmly with full conviction in this moment,” PM Modi said. He supported the Gaza Peace Initiative, saying it is necessary to “sustain” the process of peace building in the region.
