The government is taking steps to provide ample water to farmers in the State, said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at a public meeting in Markapuram district on Wednesday (February 25).

“The coalition government aims to increase the income of the farmers in the State. Along with Rayalaseema region, we are developing Prakasam and Markapuram districts with horticultural crops. We will make Markapuram a hub for horticultural crops,” he said.

The CM added that there was a problem with land records in Markapuram district. “We are making land records very secure with QR codes. We will take action if anyone makes false records. We are also sanctioning ₹50 crore for the construction of a new building for the Markapuram District Collectorate,” he said.

The government is improving the living standards of the people and providing better governance, Mr. Naidu said, promising the people to provide safe drinking water in areas with fluoride contamination. He also promised to make the State clean through the Swachh Andhra programmes.

On employment opportunities, he said investment proposals worth ₹20 lakh crore have come to the State, and it would generate 20 lakh jobs to the youth over the next four years. The government was moving forward with a firm resolve to change the history of the State, he said.

“I am working for the people and the State, and the development of the Telugu people is my goal. I am making plans for the future generations, and it is the responsibility of the people to vote for the NDA in the next elections as well,” he added.
