‘Toxic’: Yash confirms dual role, second avatar named ‘Ticket’

Yash as ‘Ticket’ in ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups’.

Kannada superstar Yash, gearing up for the release of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Up, has confirmed that he would be playing dual roles in the pan-Indian movie. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is bankrolled by KVN Productions, the banner behind the controversial Tamil movie Jana Nayagan, starring Vijay.

Yash took to social media to reveal the name of his second avatar in the action drama. The clean-shaven character is called Ticket. Yash is also essaying a character named Raya. The makers had recently introduced Raya with a glimpse video.

“Your ‘Ticket’ to Hell,” wrote Yash. In the teaser of Toxic, which dropped on February 20, 2026 (Friday), fans were thrilled to see a younger Yash with a clean shaven look. His character, which indulges in extreme violence, has left people intrigued about the movie. Speculations are rife that the actor is playing a father-son duo in the movie, set to hit the screens on March 19, 2026.

In Toxic, Yash returns to the big screen after four years. The actor has co-produced the action drama under his banner Monstermind Creations. Yash was last seen in KGF: Chapter 2, which released on April 14, 2022. Directed by Prashant Neel, the period action drama was a massive blockbuster.

Yash has co-written Toxic with Geetu. Later in 2026, Yash will also be seen in the epic drama Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Yash’s banner, Monstermind Creations, is co-producing the movie with Namit Malhotra of Prime Focus Limited. Ranbir Kapoor plays Ram and Sai Pallavi essays Sita in the movie. Yash will appear as Ravan.

In Toxic, JJ Perry of John Wick and Fast & Furious famehas done the action choreography. Anbariv & Kecha Khamphakdee have also worked on the stunts in the movie. The film will have music from Ravi Basrur of KGF and Salaar fame. Acclaimed cinematographer Rajeev Ravi has handled the camera for the movie. Ujwal Kulkarni of KGF fame is the editor.

Toxic also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria. The first-look posters of these actors have generated enough buzz around the movie.
