The SNDP Samrakshana Samiti will initiate both criminal and civil proceedings against Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan for preparing a fraudulent voters’ list in violation of High Court directives for the upcoming organisational elections, said the samiti leaders at a press conference here on Saturday. They also alleged that Mr. Natesan and his son are spreading misinformation regarding court orders to manipulate the elections.

The controversy stems from a High Court judgment dated December 19, 2025, which instructed the Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs to determine whether the SNDP Yogam operates as a Kerala Non-Trading Company or under the Union Companies Act. The court explicitly mandated that this decision be reached only after serving notices to the plaintiffs, examining their documents, and hearing their arguments.

‘False claims’

However, the samiti leaders claimed that they have yet to receive a formal date for a hearing and they pointed out significant clerical discrepancies in the notices they did receive. “While the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has not yet heard the arguments or passed a final verdict, Vellappally Natesan and his son are falsely claiming to have received all necessary approvals to conduct the elections,” they said.

According to the samiti, a fraudulent circular has been issued to union officials to begin the preparation of the voters’ list. “This action reportedly ignores a standing High Court order from August 8, 2024, which appointed a specific committee to regularise the SNDP Yogam membership register using valid identity proof,” they added.

‘Support of authorities’

The samiti members further alleged that this violation of the law is being committed with the silent support of Central and State authorities. “The State core committee of the SNDP Samrakshana Samiti has resolved to pursue rigorous legal and organisational countermeasures. A Special Leave Petition (SLP) has been filed in the Supreme Court challenging the appeal that granted voting rights in a previous case,” they said.

The press conference was attended by chairperson S. Chandrasenan, plaintiff V. Vijayakumar, and State committee member D. Sajeev Babu.
