On Saturday, the three-day Nilgiris Economic Dialogue that began on Friday had a dialogue on purpose-led innovation and the economics of impact between P. Ravichandran, president, Danfoss India, and Deputy Chairman, CII Southern Region, and Gopichand Katragadda, founder and CEO of Myelin Foundry.

The discussion was on India’s innovation journey, execution capabilities, private-sector investment in research and development, and the need to translate ideas into scalable, product-led outcomes.

A conversation on strategic autonomy in the age of selective globalisation featured V.K.C. Razak, chairman, CII Kerala State, and Nitin A Gokhale, strategic affairs analyst and founder of BharatShakti Group. The discussion reflected on India’s evolving geopolitical posture, economic resilience, and technology sovereignty. The dialogue also included roundtable sessions on geopolitics and deglobalisation, focusing on trade tariffs, sanctions, maritime trade and supply chain resilience.

The event also had discussions on resource efficiency and circularity in agriculture and infrastructure between Ashok Dalwai, IAS (retd), and C. Devarajan, vice-chairman, CII Tamil Nadu.
