Actor-politician Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, on Tuesday (February 3, 2026), announced that ticket aspirants willing to contest on behalf of the party in the 2026 Assembly elections can submit their application forms from February 6.

In a statement, party general secretary N. Anand said ticket aspirants for all the 234 Assembly segments in Tamil Nadu can collect the application forms, fill in the required details, and submit them between February 6 and 14 at the party headquarters in Panaiyur in the outskirts of Chennai.

However, no announcement has been made so far by the party with respect to the poll-bound Union Territory of Puducherry, where it is seeking to make inroads.

In recent months, Mr. Vijay has scaled up his criticism not only against the ruling DMK but also against the opposition AIADMK by making indirect references. Recently, he said neither the “evil force” nor the “corrupt force” should rule the State.
