Rajasthan is fully prepared to take advantage of new budgetary provisions and incentives, as the Union Budget for 2026-27 has placed the State in the mainstream of national development, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said in Jaipur on Monday (February 2, 2026). The budget was focused on financial discipline and stability, Mr. Sharma said.

“The Union Budget will give new strength to all-round development of Rajasthan and support our resolve to achieve the development goals… It is a roadmap for a developed India,” Mr. Sharma said at a “press briefing” at the Chief Minister’s Office.

Mr. Sharma said the Budget would expand job opportunities and self-employment in the State, as it had laid emphasis on promoting startups and strengthening the service sector. While the animation, visual effects, gaming, comics, and extended reality (AVGC-XR) policy had already been adopted in the State, the establishment of content creator laboratories in schools would give benefits to the youth, he said.

The Chief Minister said the budgetary provisions for improving agricultural infrastructure, market access for farmers and risk mitigation as well as the creation of new avenues for small and large industries, manufacturers, artisans and workers would help these sectors in Rajasthan.

Mr. Sharma said the industry leaders in the State would take advantage of new budgetary schemes to promote manufacturing in sectors such as bio-pharma, chemicals, textiles, handicrafts and heavy construction and infrastructure machinery.

Referring to the renewable energy sector, Mr. Sharma said Rajasthan’s potential and needs in solar energy had been adequately addressed in the Budget, which had allocated Rs.32,914 crore for renewable energy, registering a 30% increase, and Rs.22,000 crore for the Prime Minister’s Surya Ghar Yojana.
