Claim the electoral space through ‘clarity of purpose and effective strategy’: Vijay

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam founder Vijay on Monday (February 2, 2026) said the party must claim the electoral space “with clarity of purpose and through effective strategy” to attain power through democratic process.

The party, founded on February 2, 2024, stepped into its third year on Monday (February 2, 2026).

In a statement, Mr. Vijay compared TVK to a “deep ocean” and said nobody can sideline the party.

“The 2026 legislative Assembly election is faced with an unprecedented situation. Everybody acknowledges that there is only one reason for this— our political arrival. With the overwhelming support of all the people, let us fight resolutely and in unity,” he said.
