Governor Jishnu Dev Varma on Monday presented the Governor’s Excellence Awards 2025, honouring individuals and organisations whose work has brought about significant and lasting change in women empowerment, tribal development, rural health and medical philanthropy, and corporate volunteering.

During the ‘At Home’ reception at Lok Bhavan, where the Governor welcomed eminent citizens, senior officials and guests from diverse spheres, he had presented these awards which carry a cash prize of ₹2 lakh each and a citation. In the individual categories, Ramadevi Kanneganti, founder-president of the Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh (ALEAP), was recognised for her pioneering efforts in empowering women through entrepreneurship and leadership.

Tribal development honours went to Todasam Kailash, a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) member from the Thoti community in Adilabad district, for his contribution to uplifting tribal livelihoods. Dr. Pradyut Waghray received the award in rural health and medical philanthropy for his sustained service through the Kailashnath Charitable Trust, which has expanded access to healthcare in remote and underserved areas. In the corporate volunteering category, V. Rajanna was honoured for his strategic and compassionate leadership in corporate-led social initiatives that have strengthened community resilience and enhanced public welfare.
