In view of the Surya Kiran Air Show by the Indian Air Force scheduled over the Bidar Fort area on Friday, the district administration has imposed a temporary ban on kite flying within a three-mile radius of the fort.

In an order issued on Wednesday, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Additional District Magistrate Shivanand B. Karale said that kite flying will be prohibited on Thursday from 10.30 a.m. to noon and on Friday from 10.30 a.m. to noon and from 3.45 p.m. to 5 p.m. to ensure safety during aerial manoeuvres.

The restriction has been enforced as a precautionary measure to facilitate the smooth conduct of the air show and to prevent any potential hazards to aircraft operations and public safety, the official added.
