The Hubballi Town Police have registered a case against a man who allegedly abducted the girl and sexually exploited her.

A case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, has been registered in Hubballi after a case of a 14-year-old girl being delivered of a baby came to light.

The Hubballi Town Police have registered a case against a man who allegedly abducted the girl and sexually exploited her.

Dharwad District Child Protection Officer Deepa Javur has also filed complaints against a doctor in Dharwad district and three doctors of a private nursing home in Hubballi.

According to the complaint, the man had allegedly abducted the minor girl, locked her in a house, and sexually exploited her. After the girl informed her parents, they had consulted a local doctor, who in turn had advised them to consult a nursing home in Hubballi.

In the complaint, the doctors have been accused of hiding the fact about the minor becoming pregnant.

The minor was delivered of a baby at her house recently. Because of excessive bleeding, she was first taken to a private nursing home and subsequently to KMCRI Hospital in Hubballi.

“After verifying the documents, it came to light that the girl was just 14 and three months old, and she was admitted in Nirbhaya ward. The baby is being treated in the intensive care unit Both the girl and the baby are stable now” KMCRI in-charge Medical Superintendent Rajashekhar Dyaberi has said.
