Andhra Pradesh’s Industries and Commerce Minister T.G. Bharath has said that the NDA government is committed to setting up a High Court Bench in Kurnool.

Participating in the Sankranti celebrations organised by the advocates of Kurnool, Mr. Bharath asserted that the process of setting up a High Court bench was continuing.

“I am discussing with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and IT Minister N. Lokesh over the issue, and the Bench will be set up in Kurnool. I have proposed the setting up of the Bench on the existing land, where A, B and C camp quarters are located in Kurnool city. A building will also be constructed to house the Collectorate in the city,” Mr. Bharat said.

He further said the government was committed to solving the issues of the advocates. On the occasion, he crticised the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) for trying to derive political mileage by maligning the sanctity of the famous pilgrim shrine of Tirumala.

“Our government is committed to protecting the sanctity of Tirumala and we have exposed the YSRCP’s evil designs to malign the government by placing empty liquor bottles on the hill shrine,” the Minister said. The government exposed the YSRCP’s evil designs with technical evidence and also arrested those involved in the sacrilege, he added.

“Strict action will taken against any lapse or irregularity that takes place in Tirumala,” he asserted. Mr. Bharath said the YSRCP had not learnt any lessons even after the people confined it to 11 Assembly seats. The Minister felicitated the newly appointed Public Prosecutors and Government Pleaders on the occasion.
