In a video message posted on social media platform ‘X’, BJP National Working President Nitin Nabin also paid a heartfelt tribute to Modi.

“Sushil Modi ji who started his politics as student leader and played an important role in the JP Movement, always maintained transparency. He made his identity due to struggle and left a mark as finance minister of Bihar showing his financial skills,” Mr. Nabin said.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Choudhary who also holds Home Department portfolio said that Modi, has left an indelible mark on the development of Bihar and his entire public life was a living example of honesty, simplicity, and principled politics.

He also asserted that in his long political career, Sushil Modi prioritised the fight against corruption, good governance, and development.

“He did unprecedented work for the development of Bihar as Deputy Chief Minister; he also played a strong role while in the opposition. When Sushil Modi came to the assembly, the then government would be apprehensive about what new file he would bring to expose them. Being in the opposition, he exposed several cases of corruption,” Mr. Choudhary said.

He added that Sushil Modi was a living example of honesty, simplicity, and principled politics who made a significant contribution to the development of Bihar. Mr. Choudhary also pointed out that Sushil Modi’s life is a source of inspiration for the youth and new entrants into politics.

Mr. Saraogi on other hand said, “He started his life’s journey as anRashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) volunteer. He worked for years in the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). He played a pivotal role in strengthening the organization and demonstrated administrative efficiency as the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar. He was the epitome of loyalty, fearlessness, and honesty.”

Praising the late leader, Mr. Saraogi added that the proof of his integrity was that throughout his political career, no one ever questioned his character.

“He exposed the fodder scam. If we are in power today, Sushil Modi has a major role in it. His honesty and spirit of service still inspire us today. He increased the state budget while maintaining the financial balance as finance minister,” Mr. Saraogi said.

Giriraj Singh echoed the same saying that Modi stood firm against corruption and injustice.

Patna Sahib MP Ravi Shanka Prasad said that Sushil Modi would be always remembered as a leader for changing the history of Bihar.
