The YSR Congress Party has questioned the “secrecy” allegedly shrouding Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s foreign visit, and has demanded that the government disclose details of the tour.

Addressing the media at the party office at Tadepalli on Wednesday, YSRCP SC Cell president T.J.R. Sudhakar Babu alleged that there was no information even with the General Administration Department (GAD) on the issue, which was highly suspicious. Pointing to conflicting reports in the media, he said, “The government owes an explanation on where is the Chief Minister, why has he gone, and whether it is an official or personal visit.”

The former MLA also questioned the “frequent use of special aircraft and helicopters by Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh,” alleging that they were enjoying luxury travel while claiming that they were paying from their own pocket.

Referring to former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s recent London visit for his daughter’s graduation, Mr. Sudhakar Babu accused a section of the media of indulging in malicious propaganda despite the YRSCP chief stating that the trip was at his own expense. “Now, when the Chief Minister keeps his travel details secret, the media remains silent,” he said.
