Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced a special development fund of ₹5 lakh for small villages and ₹10 lakh for major gram panchayats, stating that the funds would be released directly to sarpanches from the Chief Minister’s fund.

Speaking at a felicitation programme organised for newly elected sarpanches in Kodangal constituency, he clarified that this assistance would be in addition to allocations from the State and Central governments and was aimed at enhancing the dignity and authority of sarpanches.

Emphasising inclusive development, Mr. Revanth Reddy said political rivalries should end with elections and urged sarpanches to avoid discrimination and village-level conflicts. He pledged to transform the Kodangal Assembly constituency into a model constituency in the country, calling upon newly elected sarpanches to rise above party lines and work collectively for village development.

Thanking the people of his native Mahabubnagar district, Mr. Reddy accused the previous regime of neglecting Palamuru Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRILS) for a decade and failing to complete even a single major project. He alleged that this was due to political animosity. He claimed that while K. Chandrashekar Rao and his family accumulated enormous wealth, the region remained deprived of irrigation water.

Referring to recent remarks by Mr. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister criticised them as irresponsible and lacking substance, and denied involvement in any real estate activities. He said Mr. Chandrashekar Rao practised vendetta politics, sending him to jail and targeting not only him but also his family.
