Kerala SIR: IAS officer Aishvarya Singh appointed as Special Roll Observer for State

Aishvarya Singh, an IAS officer of the 2008 batch, has been appointed as the Special Roll Observer for overseeing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) activities in Kerala.

Ms. Singh conducted a detailed review meeting of the SIR activities in Thiruvananthapuram district on Saturday (December 20, 2025).

She also participated in a meeting with representatives of political parties, convened by the Chief Electoral Officer (Kerala) Rathan U. Kelkar during her visit.

The Special Roll Observer will continue her review of the SIR activities in other districts, Mr. Kelkar’s office said. She visited Wayanad on Sunday (December 21, 2025) and will be in Kozhikode on Monday (December 22, 2025).

During these visits, Ms. Singh will review the progress of SIR-related activities, interact with district election machinery, political party representatives and assess measures taken to ensure accuracy and inclusiveness of the electoral rolls, Mr. Kelkar’s office said.

The enumeration phase of the SIR concluded on December 18 and the draft rolls will be published on December 23.
