The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has given the green signal for several key projects and investment proposals aimed at boosting infrastructure, water management, and employment generation in the State.

Addressing the media at the Secretariat on Thursday, Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Minister Kolusu Parthasarathi said that the State Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Thursday approved several major projects and investment proposals worth ₹9,500 crore, aimed at strengthening infrastructure, urban water management, and employment generation.

The Cabinet approved the proposals cleared by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) and Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA). The Cabinet approved tenders worth ₹532 crore for connecting the Seed Access Road to National Highway-16, improving road connectivity in the capital.

Key construction projects in Amaravati, including Lok Bhavan and the Assembly Darbar Hall, received the green signal. Additionally, approvals were granted for the Governor’s Office guesthouses and staff quarters, as well as land allocations to multiple institutions.

The Cabinet cleared 14 major industrial proposals with investments exceeding ₹15,000 crore across SEZs, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, MSMEs, renewable energy, and agro-processing.

These units are expected to create thousands of jobs and strengthen the State’s industrial base. Notable investments include ReNew Photovoltaics’ solar PV manufacturing unit, large SEZ expansions, chemical and API manufacturing units, and fabric parks.

In the IT, electronics, and quantum-tech segment, the Cabinet approved 11 proposals amounting to ₹1,421 crore, promising employment to more than 3,000 people. Companies such as QpiAI, Qubitech, Cybranex, QuBeats, Centella Scientific, and several IT/ITeS firms received approvals under the IT, Electronics, and LIFT policies.

Notably, the ₹1,140-crore PCB manufacturing project by CIPSA TEC India was also approved, marking a major boost to the electronics manufacturing sector.

The Cabinet approved multiple tourism and cultural development proposals under YAT&C, aimed at promoting heritage conservation, tourism infrastructure, and cultural programmes.

In investment promotion, the Cabinet cleared multiple key proposals under the SIPB and the State Investment Promotion Council, approving investments worth nearly ₹20,000 crore across 26 companies, expected to generate substantial direct and indirect employment opportunities, he added.
