Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has unveiled the much-awaited Telangana Rising – 2047 vision document outlining the roadmap charted out for the State’s accelerated growth for becoming US $3 trillion economy in little over two decades.
“Telangana Means Business – Vision 2047”, come and join the rise, the government said in the document requesting global entrepreneurs to partner with the State in its ambitious journey. Explaining about the journey of the State thus far, the document outlines the strengths of the State along with 10 key strategies it will follow in the coming days. The 83-page document explains how the State plans to grow from a $200 billion economy to $3 trillion, achieving $1 trillion by 2034, and moving ahead to become $3 trillion economy in 22 years.

Three economic zones
The strategy will be creating three distinct economic zones – Core Urban Economic Region, Peri-Urban Economic Region and Rural and Agricultural Economic Region. The boundary of CURE should be 160 km outer ring road inside which should be a net zero services sector only metropolis. The regional ring road being developed is a larger 360 km boundary connecting all peri urban areas and many tier-02 towns. Between ORR and the RRR would be the PURE and everything beyond RRR would be covered under RARE.
The Government considers the Bharat Future City, Musi rejuvenation, dryport and other projects as game changers in its pursuit of the US $ 3 trillion economy along with the 12-lane expressway connecting dryport to Krishnapatnam sea port in Andhra Pradesh. Adoption of technology in governance would be one key area in the next two decades as technological innovations and changes enable faster service delivery. In the process, the Government intends to create a knowledge hub as part of the longer term vision inviting world renowned institutions to establish their off shore centres.
