Senior nephrologist and president of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Vellore branch, K. Venketaraman, was awarded the “Maruthuva Natchathira Award 2025” at an event held in Chennai.

According to a press release, the award was presented by Health Minister Ma. Subramanian to Mr. Venketaraman, who is also the director of K.V.R. Kidney & Diabetic Centre in Vellore. The event has been organised by Hindu Tamil Thisai for the past four years to honour medical professionals for their contribution to medical service, the release said.
