Writers V.M. Shanmughadas and Induchoodan Kizhakkedam have won Palakkad Public Library platinum jubilee literary awards.
When Mr. Shanmughadas won the award for his novel Vargha Vanchaka Puranam, Mr. Kizhakkedam was chosen for his select stories.

The award carrying a cash prize of ₹10,001, a plaque and citation will be given away at a function to be held at Palakkad Public Library on November 22. Writer Parvathy Warrier will be the chief guest.
A four-member jury comprising P.K. Balakrishnan, Sreedharan Anjumoorthy, Raveendran Malayankavu and Deviprasad Peediyekkal selected Mr. Shanmughadas and Mr. Kizhakkedam for the award considering the strength of their works.
