In a tragic road accident near Aurad (B) village in Kalaburagi taluk on Friday night, four people were killed on the spot after a tanker collided with a car and a bike.
The deceased have been identified as Nagendra, 33, and Shivaraj, 32, from Shiradon village in Kamalapur taluk; and Chandrakala, 70, and Dattatreya, 48, from Bhalki taluk in Bidar district.
According to police sources, Uttam and Sudeshna sustained severe injuries in the accident. The accident occurred when a tanker heading from Humnabad towards Kalaburagi hit a car and a two-wheeler travelling in the opposite direction. Two people travelling on bike and two in the car were killed on the spot.
A case has been registered at the Kalaburagi Traffic Police Station–2, and investigation is underway.
