82.94% candidates clear POLYCET 2026 in Telangana

Of the total 98,029 candidates who appeared for the Telangana Polytechnic entrance exam 2026 on May 13, 81,307 candidates or 82.94% have cleared the test.

Namala Lokesh from Warangal in the MPC stream stood first and Banoth Hemanth from Suryapet came second. In the MBiPC stream, Kotla Apoorva from Mahabubnagar topped the exam.

The Polycet conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET) allows candidates to seek admissions for diploma courses in Engineering, Non-Engineering, and Technology offered at Polytechnic colleges and Institutions, besides diploma courses in Agriculture, Agriculture Engineering, Seed Technology & Organic Agriculture.

According to Commissioner, Collegiate Education, A. Sridevasena, who released the results here, the SBTET will see a range of reforms, from introduction of new courses, including Artificial Intelligence, to a compulsory six-month paid internship. Soon, the polytechnic colleges will be modernised and upgraded to Advanced Training Centres. The SBTET will also draw MoUs with relevant industries to upgrade student learning experience in line with the industry.

In addition to the result through MeeSeva WhatsApp service on the registered mobile number of the candidate, the result and the rank card were made available on https://www.polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in/
